On Wednesday, Sept. 4, Preston High School opened its doors to students to begin the 2024-2025 school year.
“It was very high positive energy as the students walked through our halls again,” said Preston High School Principal and Class of 1992 alumna Jennifer Connolly, Esq.
Students were welcomed back by teachers, administration and staff as they sat for ID photos, met their homeroom mentors and heard from the principal and assistant principals. Throughout their first week, students met the teachers as they prepared for the year ahead.
To close out the first week, Student Council announced the theme for the school year: Beauty and the Beast. During their presentation, they shared how characters from the Disney classic depict members of the Preston school community.
“We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead, beginning with a focus on civil dialogue and a visit from the National Constitution Center in October,” Connolly said.
