New York City Football Club Celebrates Soccer Day

To commemorate the opening of the next 10 NYC Soccer Initiative mini-pitches, New York City Football Club, the Mayor’s Fund to Advance NYC, the U.S. Soccer Foundation, Adidas and Etihad Airways hosted a ‘Soccer Day’ throughout the five boroughs on Monday, October 15. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at a Bronx pitch site shared by Hostos-Lincoln Academy of Science, P.S. 10, I.S. 584 and University Prep Charter High School.
