The North Bronx Section of the National Council of Negro Women hosted their 48th annual luncheon celebrating African heritage this past Saturday, April 16 at Vila Barone Manor. This year’s honorees were Fannie Munlin, NCNW’s United Nations representative; deputy inspector Ruel Stephenson, 47th Precinct commanding officer; Neva Shillingford-King, NAACP Williamsbridge Branch vice president; registered nurse Flora Goldston; former Manhattan district manager for districts 9 and 11 Leslie Wyche; Beatrice Castiglia-Catullo, R.A.I.N. founder; Titilayo Akindayomi-Adewale, Redeemed Christian Church of God Holy Ghost Zone pastor and Frances Garvin.
