Several people are recovering after an overturned vehicle struck pedestrians in Belmont. According to police, 48th Precinct police officers responded to a report of a collision at Southern Boulevard and Grote Street on Friday, June 21 at 4:25 p.m. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 20-year-old female was operating a Honda CRV heading southbound on Southern Boulevard when it mounted a curb and struck six pedestrians who were on the sidewalk before overturning and striking the staircase railing of a church. The pedestrians, which included a 1-year-old male baby, who all suffered non-life threatening injuries were transported by EMS to local hospitals. The driver of the vehicle and her two passengers, including an 11-year-old male, were also transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. No arrest were made in this ongoing investigation.
