Police are looking for a machete-wielding man who allegedly robbed a convenience store in Concourse Village last week.
The suspect allegedly entered Pit Stop, located at 920 Teller Ave., at around 5:20 a.m. on Sept. 20 and attempted to shoplift.
When a 33-year-old male employee attempted to intervene, the alleged thief brandished a machete. The suspect fled the scene on foot, traveling eastbound on 162nd Street. No injuries were reported. It is not clear whether he left with store items.
The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion. Police have released a photo of the suspect.
