Former NBA player Caron Butler recently visited young adults at the Robert N. Daroven Center on Rikers Island to talk about his journey from poverty, the streets and incarceration eventually leading to a successful NBA career, which included a championship with the Dallas Mavericks in 2011. Those in attendance also received a copy of his book, ’Tuff Juice: My Journey from the Streets to the NBA.’
