On Thursday, June 29, Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson and Sulma Arzu-Brown, executive director of the Bronx Tourism Council, will join City Councilmember Marjorie Velázquez, state Sen. Nathalia Fernandez, Hot 97, Con Edison, Verizon, the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation and the Orchard Beach Snack Bar for the Bronx Fireworks Extravaganza with “America’s First Family of Fireworks,” the Grucci’s.
The evening will feature performances by DJ Lex, the Gambian Giedundun Performers, the Garifuna Abeimahani, Bomba Performers and more.
The party, which will take place at the beach’s lower plaza near the main stage, is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. and the fireworks show is expected to kick off at 9:15 p.m.
