On Monday, April 2, Councilman Ruben Diaz, Sr. travelled to the Dominican Republic on a five-day trip, meeting with different leaders to address some of the problems in the Dominican Diaspora, particularly within the taxi industry. These leaders included Danilo Medina the President of the Dominican Republic Danilo Medina, Rev. Dr. Jose Martinez the newly elected president of Radio Vision Cristiana Internacional, Antonio Cabrera President of the New York Taxi Federation and a number of others.
