Councilman Ritchie Torres held a re-dedication ceremony on Wednesday, November 11 at the West Farms Old Soldiers Cemetery, the oldest public veterans’ burial ground in the borough. Councilman Torres auquired new signs for the sacred space. Buried in the cemetery are soldiers who fought in the War of 1812, Civil War, Spanish-American War and World War I.
