The Community-Police Relations Foundation hosted a citywide turkey distribution event on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Cubes R Us, located at 1100 Loring Ave. in Brooklyn. The event, organized by Bronx native Al Eskanazy, who established and leads the foundation, provided turkeys to numerous community groups and law enforcement agencies across the five boroughs.
Representatives from various nonprofits and police departments gathered at the ice supplier to collect boxes of turkeys, which were later distributed to their communities. Despite the rainy weather, participants turned out in full force to help make the event a success.
“Our annual turkey distribution brings more than just meals to families—it brings hope, gratitude, and unity,” Eskanazy said
Among the attendees was Pamela Damon, executive director of Not On My Watch, Inc., a Bronx-based training center at 811 Allerton Ave. dedicated to educating, equipping, and empowering women and girls to lead safe and successful lives.
The Nov. 26 event reflected the foundation’s ongoing commitment to strengthening community-police relations and addressing local needs, particularly during the holiday season.
