Assemblyman Michael Benedetto spoke at last month’s Bronx Health REACH’s Coalition meeting. Benedetto, who is chairman of the Assembly Education Committee, discussed his continuing support of school wellness programming as well as sponsoring NYS assembly bill A7607, which directs the commissioner of education to establish a state model wellness policy for local educational agencies as well as a school district wellness policy database.
