Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson, alongside the Bronx Tourism Council showed their Bronx pride at the 54th annual Bronx Ball. Held on May 17 at the The Clubhouse at Bally’s Golf Links at Ferry Point, the event featured dinner, dancing, and overall pride and joy for the borough.

The opening remarks were given by Pedro Rivera, Journalist and Co-anchor of Eyewitness News at ABC7.
“It is truly an honor to gather with you all for what is a truly magnificent event,” Rivera said. “We’re celebrating greatness, culture, [and] spirit over the Bronx, and I can see the representation of the world from Mott Haven, to Westchester Square, to University. How amazing is this?”
The Walk of Fame inductees included Lenny Santiago, music and culture executive; Darlene P. Rodriguez, Journalist; Roberto “Fanum” Escanio, content creator and streamer, and Darrin Dewitt Henson, actor and choreographer.

The Key to the Borough was given to former Borough President Robert Adams, and the People’s Choice award was given to Jaime “Jimmy” Rodriguez, entrepreneur and restaurateur. The Bronx tourism awards were given to the Bronx Children’s Museum and the Pregones Theater.
“I’m so happy that I was born and raised in the Bronx,” said Honoree Darrin Dewitt Henson. “Because wherever I go, I take the Bronx with me.”
