On Wednesday, July 10, Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. participated in the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for ‘Camp Junior,’ a summer camp for youth from targeted Bronx neighborhoods. The revitalized camp is named for 15-year-old Lesandro ‘Junior’ Guzman-Feliz, who was killed by Bronx gang members in 2018 in a case of mistaken identity. Diaz is providing a $1 million capital budget allocation to Camp Junior in his FY2020 budget.
