Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. distributed toys to military families at the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo on Saturday, December 17. The partnership between the Bronx Zoo and the borough president is in its eighth year and supports military families who are in need during the holiday season. The Bronx Zoo serves as a collection point for the borough president’s holiday toy drive. The borough president joined Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Schiff Family Great Hall at a party to give out the toys and spread holiday cheer.
