Chancellor’s Award

The borough’s own Francis Agyemang, a senior at the SUNY at Albany, is among ten students at the campus to be awarded the Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence. Francis was born in Ghana and plans to go to medical school. He is also president of the UAlbany Student Association.

Athlete of the Week

On Monday, April 6, the SUNY Cobleskill Department of Sport and Exercise announced that junior Richard Kemp, a Bronx native, was named the athletic program’s Fighting Tiger Athlete of the Week.

The college reports that he was the top performer, as a member of the men’s outdoor track and field team, at the 2015 Muhlenberg Invitational hosted by Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA.

Kemp placed fourth overall in the triple jump with a mark of 42’ 9 ½”to meet the automatic qualifying standard for the New York State College Track Conference Outdoor Championships.
