We are so proud of you Jam! In a few days you will be graduating high school. Was it just yesterday when we were at your pre-k graduation? You have become such a great man already: volunteering in our community, on Community Board 10, a great student, tutor and excellent guitar player.

Now off to Maritime College! I know you will do great, you always do. Just remember wherever you are in the world we love you and will be there for you son.

A Friend Sends

His Congrats

Congratulations to Tiffany McCrae who in addition to receiving her college diploma, was presented with the Roberto Clemente Award and a scholarship.

Tiffany is a very inspirational person who overcomes the most difficult obstacles, her persistent drive and a ‘no quit’ personality that is going to skyrocket her to success.

Her sense of humor and kindness has touched so many hearts and stomachs: she makes the best pastelillos in New York City. God bless you and your family Tiffany — your friend always Bobby Tribuzio.

Congratulations On

Your Retirement

The PS 14 community would like to congratulate Ms. Glo Dio-Dati on her retirement. After 21 years as a Physical Education teacher, and 21 years at P.S. 14, Ms. Dio is moving onto her next set of adventures. Her ambitious plans include, continuing to write music, getting children’s books published, writing a screen play, and taking classes in ballroom dancing, Spanish dancing, and the Italian language.

Although she is excited for this next stage, she will miss P.S. 14 – she will especially miss teaching her students about life, love, and the greatness inside each one of them. In fact, these lessons in Character Education are what she hopes to be remembered for most at PS 14. She wishes to leave behind a legacy of someone who taught others how to think with their hearts, show their light, and believe in love.

She says P.S. 14 taught her how to be the best teacher she can be, and as a community we can corroborate that she was in fact an incredible educator, colleague, and friend who we are lucky to know.

She will be honored on Thursday, June 16 at the Morris Yacht Club, on City Island. The year-end celebration will take place from 4 to 9 p.m. If you would like to join the many family members, friends, co-workers, and students who are sure to be in attendance, please RSVP with the main office by Monday, June 13 at (718) 822-5341 – the cost of the is $65, includes dinner, entertainment and gifts.

If you are unable to attend the party, please still support Ms. Dio by purchasing her CD at cdbaby.com/glo2 or itunes.com (glo under the stars); view her music videos on youtube.com/thinkwithyourheart; visit her website at glosongs.com or her facebook page “all aglow songs”; or send her a message of love and gratitude to glodiodati17@gmail.com.

Thank you Ms. Dio, from all of us at P.S. 14!.
