Goodbye father and grandfather
Waterbury LaSalle community leader
Andrew was born in Manhattan November 30, 1921, and he grew in Belmont. He served in the United States Army during World War II and then worked for the New York City Department of Water Supply, Gas and Electric. In 1953 he married Clara Tudisco.
They had four children: Andrew, Rita, Anthony and Clareann. They had five grandchildren: Justine Anne, Anthony Vincent, Louis, Michael and Tiffany. In 1959, the family moved to Throggs Neck. Then in 1969, they moved to Waterbury Avenue, where Chick spent the next 45 years. Chick worked hard.
For many years, he sold fruits and vegetables with his brother and father in the Arthur Avenue Market.
Even after he retired from his New York City job, he worked part-time delivering ice cream to stores. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed family vacations and holiday dinners.
Chick always had a good word to say, and everyone who knew him loved him.
You are only gone a few days now, but you will be missed. Rest in peace Dad. We love you.
