Councilman Andy King and the City Council’s Black, Latino and Asian Caucus celebrated African-American Music Appreciation Month with an awards ceremony on Tuesday, June 12 on the steps of City Hall.

This year’s Power Of Influence Award honorees included Mark Pitts, Urban Music at RCA Records president; rapper Lil’ Kim; Angela Simmons of TV’s ‘Growing up Hip-Hop;’ FUBU company; Havoc from Mobb Deep and Harlem Tailor Dapper Dan.

Councilman King enjoyed meeting the Real Housewives of Potomac.
