The Bronx Times Reporter held its 25 Bronx Influential Women awards ceremony and dinner at Villa Barone Manor in Throggs Neck on Thursday, June 26. The news organization, part of Community News Group, honored women from all walks of life for making the Bronx a better place to live and work. The women made speeches after accepting their awards, as did Bronx Times Publisher Laura Guerriero and co-founder John Collazzi. Geri Sciorino of the Bronx Design Group was mistress of ceremonies and a part of the gala planning committee. The event’s sponsor was Emigrant Mortgage. The Bronx Times extends special thanks to Villa Barone Manor, BronxNet, Crown Trophy, and Anthony’s Flower Farm.
Honorees Rosanne Carotenuto, Michelle Dolgow Cristofaro, Cecilia DeBrino Haas, Denise Matranga, and Sr. Mary Rita Miguel.
