A 12-year-old boy accidentally shot himself in the foot while playing with a gun inside a Bronx apartment late Tuesday night, sources said.
The incident occurred around 11 p.m. at a residence on W. 230th St. near Broadway in Kingsbridge, according to authorities.
Emergency responders transported the boy to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was treated for a minor injury. Police said his condition is stable.
The child has declined to cooperate with investigators, a source revealed, leaving questions about how he obtained the firearm unanswered.
