Assembly Member Zaccaro hosts homeowner resource fair with HPD and NIDC at Maestro’s Catering Hall

Assembly Member John Zaccaro Jr. partnered with the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) and the nonprofit youth social services organization Neighborhood Initiatives Development Corp. (NIDC) to host a homeowner resource fair on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at Maestro’s Catering Hall.

Attendees of the event gained valuable insights and resources from the informational tables set up at the venue. These tables offered guidance on a wide range of topics, including home theft protection, managing household expenses, foreclosure prevention, residential repairs and improvements, property tax abatements and exemptions, certificates of occupancy, approval of architectural plans, elevator inspections, and more.

The event featured resource tables from various organizations, including Bronx Neighborhood Housing Services (BNHS), Assembly Member Zaccaro’s office, the NYC Department of Buildings, the Neighborhood Initiatives Development Corporation (NIDC), the Center for New York City Neighborhoods, the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), and the NYC Department of Finance.

Bronx Neighborhood Housing Services Interim Executive Director Gladstone Johnson highlighted the organization’s core mission, emphasizing the steps they take and the connections they foster to support the community. Johnson also detailed the services offered by the organization, including free tax assistance, grant programs for home repairs, and more.
