In honor of its upcoming 60th season this year, Van Nest Little League celebrated its annual opening day ceremony last Saturday, April 9 at its fields located at 1500 Waters Place. Parents and children were joined by Senator Jeff Klein and local league sponsors in commemorating this time honored yearly tradition. Aside from playing and watching America’s favorite pastime unfold before them, guests were also treated to raffle prizes and a chance to take pictures with the team.
