42 Precinct

Monday, January 2 at 5:02 a.m. — Cops got a 911 call for help inside of an apartment building at 1291 Hoe Avenue. When police arrived, they walked into the scene of a homicide. Cops found a 42-year-old man with stab wounds to the chest and head. EMS also responded and took the man to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Monday, January 2 at 8:10 a.m. — Police received a report of robbery near Boston Road and Union Avenue. A 50-year-old man was in the lobby of the building where he lived when someone approached him with a broomstick and began to beat him. The victim suffered a cut to his forehead as well as pain and bruising. The thief took the man’s wallet, which was empty, and fled. The person police are looking for is described as an adult Hispanic man, about five feet, five inches tall and 140 pounds. He had a moustache and a shaved head. He was last seen wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt with a print design on the front, blue jeans and black sneakers.

44 Precinct

Sunday, December 4 at 8:40 a.m. –An assault occurring inside of 178 E.174th Street was reported to cops. A 24-year-old man who was the victim was approached by two people whom he had a dispute with earlier in the night. One of the people took out a gun and shot the victim in the right leg. The people police are looking for then fled the scene via East 174st Street and Eastburn Avenue. One of the people cops are looking for is a black man with a medium complexion who was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray jeans and white sneakers. This person had a gun. The second person was described as an Hispanic man with a light complexion who was last seen wearing a black jacket with the words ‘Los Angeles’ on the back, a blue hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and black sneakers.

45 Precinct

Tuesday, January 3 at 3:11 p.m. — A man who was the victim of a kidnapping was found by police. He had been taken from a hair stylist at 2936 Wilkinson Avenue by a group of Hispanic men. One of the men was armed with a gun. The kidnapping victim was put inside a black minivan which sped off on nearby Westchester Avenue.

49 Precinct

Sunday, January 1 at 5:36 p.m. — Cops responded to a 911 call of a car hitting a pedestrian on Boston Post Road north of Bronxwood Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found a 73-year-old man lying on the roadway with trauma to his body. EMS responded to the scene and took the man to NYC Health +Hospitals/Jacobi. He was pronounced dead.
