Wednesday, May 4, 5:56 a.m. — A murder occurred when a man was shot in the head at Faile Street and Spofford Avenue. Someone flagged down a police vehicle to alert cops to the incident. When they arrived on the scene, they found a 37-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds sitting in the drivers seat of a vehicle. The victim was transported to Lincoln Hospital where he died.

42 Precinct

Monday, April 25, 3:07 p.m. — A woman was the victim of a purse-snatching that has been categorized as a grand larceny. The suspect approached the victim, a 59-year-old woman, from behind and forcibly took her purse in front of 425 Claremont Parkway.

43 Precinct

Friday, April 29, 5:00 p.m. — A burglary occurred in the back of a building on Stratford Avenue. The male suspect, pried open a door, entered the building and removed more than $5,000 worth of power tools and other equipment. The suspect was seen on video surveillance. He has black hair, beard and moustache. He was seen wearing jeans, black gloves, a burgundy baseball cap, and a gray hooded sweatshirt.

45 Precinct

Friday, April 29, 9:11 a.m. — A bank robbery was reported at a Chase branch located at 675 Co-Op City Boulevard. A man with a dark complexion who is in his early 40s with a medium height and build approached a teller with his hand in his waistband. He said he had a gun and demanded money. The teller gave the man, who was wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap, $830 during the robbery. The suspect fled the scene in a white four-door hatchback.

47 Precinct

Wednesday, April, 27, 11:30 a.m — A victim was shot as he left his home on East 224th Street and survived. The man was exiting his apartment when two suspects shot him in his stomach and then left the scene. One fled on foot and the other is late model Nissan Murano. The suspects are both described as black men who are in their 20s. One was wearing a grey hoodie and sweatpants. The other was wearing a dark hoodie, dark skull cap and sweatpants.
