St. Raymond Elementary School in Parkchester held its Colonial Day learning event on Wednesday, January 14. Fourth and seventh grade students, about 39 in all, dressed in garb like the clothing back in the early days of America. The students researched medicine, recreation, crime and punishment, kitchens, etiquette and even marbles in the colonies that became the first 13 states. At the event, the students made presentations and held demonstrations showcasing what they learned about the early days of our nation.
