Saturday, January 30, 5:10 a.m. – A horrific assault occurred at a subway station when a male Hispanic, approximately 50-years-old and 250 pounds, assaulted a 51-year-old woman. The victim was waiting for the northbound 2 IRT train at Westchester Avenue and Simpson Street when the suspect started hitting her in the train station. He hit her with a closed fist on the face and on other parts of her body. The suspect is light-skinned and just shy of six feet tall, according to police. He was last seen wearing a a black hat, black waist length coat and black jeans.

Friday, January 29, 6:25 p.m. — A larceny occurred at a bodega where a quick-handed thief stole $3.25 from the hand of a clerk and ran away. The crime occurred at 3273 3rd Avenue.

Sunday, February 7, 9:15 a.m. – Two men entered two grocery stores at 1361 Ogden Avenue and 1398 Ogden Avenue with guns and demanded cash. They took about $400 cash from the store at 1361 Ogden Avenue and an undetermined amount of money from 1398 Ogden Avenue and fled. No one was shot or injured during the robberies. One of the culprits is described as a male Black wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, black sneakers and a gray baseball cap. The other is male Hispanic last seen wearing a red sweater under a black jacket, black sweatpants, white sneakers, a gray baseball cap and a black mask over his face.

Friday, February 5, 9:44 p.m. — A woman was assaulted and raped in a building on East 183rd Street. She was approached by a man who followed her into the elevator. As the elevator door opened, he grabbed her from behind and began to assault her, and continued to rape her in a stairwell. He then took cash and two cell phones from his victim before leaving. He is described as an 18-year-old male Black last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt.
