On the first day of New York City’s Phase 1 reopening, the Bronx is getting a new COVID-19 testing site.
Today, Assemblywoman Latoya Joyner announced the opening of the new testing site on the property of St. Matthews AME Church at 1788 Sedgwick Ave. in the south Bronx.
This new site will be providing both diagnostic and antibody testing, according to Joyner’s office.
“During this dangerous pandemic it is crucial for our Bronx families to have ready access to the testing services needed to help assure they are healthy,” the Assemblywoman said.
It’s operating hours will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday through Friday starting on Monday, June 8. Appointments at the site are “strongly encouraged but are not required.”
