A 34-year-old man was shot in the leg during a botched robbery in the Bronx early Saturday morning.
The incident unfolded in front of 1700 Crotona Park East at approximately 7:15 a.m. when the victim was approached by two men who attempted to rob him, according to police. During the confrontation, one of the suspects discharged a firearm, striking the victim in the right leg. The suspects, however, were unsuccessful in stealing any property.

After the shooting, the two men fled the scene in a tan sedan and headed southbound on Crotona Park East. The victim was treated at the scene by EMS and later transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
The suspects remain at large as the investigation continues. The police are calling on the public for help in finding the pair.
The first suspect is described as having a slim build and medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.
The second individual sought is described as having a medium build and light complexion. He was last seen wearing all black.
