A teen jaywalker is recovering after being struck by a car on White Plains Road. According to police, a 14-year-old boy was crossing in the middle of White Plains Road between Lydig Avenue and Pelham Parkway South on Friday, December 22 at 2:45 p.m. when he was struck by a car. The pedestrian sustained injuries to his right ankle and was taken to Jacobi Hospital for treatment. Police confirmed that the driver was not speeding at the time of the incident and remained on the scene until they arrived. No charges were issued by law enforcement.
