Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. paid homage to local Italian American leaders at his annual ‘Mese della Cultura Italiana’ Italian American Heritage and Culture Month Celebration on Thursday, October 6 at the Bronx Zoo’s Schiff Family Great Hall.
This year’s distinguished honorees included Mario Cilento, NYS American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations president; Frank Randazzo, Esq., Bronx County public administrator and Steven Squitieri, Sanitation Salvage Corp. president.

Borough President Diaz congratulated centenarian Beatrice Castiglia Catullo, R.A.I.N. founder, for receiving an honorary doctorate from Mercy College.
