Diaz Honors Greek American Leaders

Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr.; Senator Michael Gianaris; Assemblywoman Aravella Simotas; Councilman Costa Constantinides and the Hellenic Orthodox Community of the Bronx honored a few exemplary Greek American community leaders at this year’s Greek Heritage Celebration on Thursday, March 9 at St. Peter the Apostle Greek Orthodox Church. This year’s proud honorees were Eleftheria ‘Effie’ Ardizzone, NYC Department of Environmental Protection deputy director and Bronx Borough coordinator for the Bureau of Public Affairs; Marika Artoglou, St. Peter The Apostle Greek Orthodox Church‘s former parish council president; captain Christopher Stilianesis, NYPD Central Robbery Division of the Bronx executive officer and Nick Tsakonas Royal Coach Diner owner and restaurateur.
