Couple holds south Bronx store clerk at knifepoint to steal $42 worth of toiletries

Police are searching for a man and woman who felt it was necessary to hold a 25-year-old pharmacy worker at knifepoint before making off with a few bottles of mouthwash on Jerome Avenue.

The NYPD recently released information regarding the Thursday, Dec. 17 crime which took place at about 4:30 p.m. inside of Pinebrook Pharmacy of 1183 Jerome Avenue.

After the employee noticed the duo putting toiletry products into the woman’s bag, he attempted to intervene, which provoked the man to pull a knife on the 25-year-old, according to police sources.

Once the store worker was threatened with the deadly weapon, the man and woman made off with a real jackpot consisting of mouthwash, toothpaste, shampoo, and conditioner valued at a whopping total of $42, the NYPD reported.

Police also released this footage of the high-end thieves.
