Several cars were crushed in a Port Morris building facade collapse. Several cars were damaged after bricks from a 120 foot by 10 foot section of the parapet wall facade fell to the ground on Wednesday, March 20 at 3 p.m. at 850 E. 140th Street near Walnut Avenue. No injuries were reported, however approximately five vehicles parked below were crushed by the falling brick. The building’s owner was issued a fine for failing to maintain the building. The NYC Department of Buildings confirmed that the building is structurally secure.
