Serving In The U.S. Navy
Lieutenant Juan Guzman is an anti-submarine war officer who is originally from the borough.
He is making his country proud by serving aboard one of four advanced war-ships that are deployed in Rota, Spain.
A U.S. Navy anti-submarine warfare officer is responsible for safely navigating through waters and leading a group of sailors who are responsible for finding and tracking subs.
Guzman credited much of his success in the service with lessons learned growing up in the borough.
Being from the Bronx, I had to learn how to interact with people from different backgrounds. It has played a huge role towards my success in my Navy career.
