NYC Health + Hospitals hosts health fair in recognition of National Concussion Awareness Day

NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi | North Central Bronx and the Southern Westchester’s Level I Trauma Center recently hosted a large health fair in recognition of National Concussion Awareness Day.

The health fair featured live demonstrations of trauma risks, bicycle helmet fittings, giveaways and resource tables set up by several different healthcare departments and agencies.

This event was held in partnership with the New York City Department of Transportation, the Stand Up to Violence program and the Burke Rehabilitation Center.

Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson was also on hand for this health fair, where she presented a Proclamation to NYC Health + Hospitals in recognition of their efforts in hosting the event.
