Senior woman struck, robbed while entering Longwood apartment complex

Police are looking for a man that attacked and robbed a 65-year-old woman in the south Bronx over the weekend.

According to the NYPD, the incident took place on Saturday, May 2 just past 7:30 a.m. within the confines of the 42nd Precinct. An unidentified man struck a 65-year old woman with an object before stealing $100 from her purse as she entered a residential building in between Southern Boulevard and Hoe Avenue.

Emergency personnel arrived on the scene, but the woman declined any medical attention, police said.

The man, who was described by the NYPD as having a ” dark complexion and a medium build” fled the location in an unknown direction.

He is seen walking with a cane and a dark colored bandana in footage released by the NYPD.
