17 Injured In 3-Vehicle Collision

Over a dozen people are recovering following a collision in Pelham Bay. Police from the 45th Precinct responded to a call of a 3-vehicle collision on Monday, April 30 at 9:09 a.m. along Mayflower Avenue. A 40-year-old man was operating a 2009 Ford Omnibus when he stated that he fell asleep and struck a 2016 Nissan which then struck a 2008 Toyota. The collision also damaged a mailbox. The driver of the bus and 17 passengers, ranging from ages 21 to 78, were transported to Bronx Municipal Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. No charges or arrests were made following the incident.
