Thursday, January 26 at 10:45 a.m. — A robbery was reported to cops after two Hispanic men, both about 20-year-old, reportedly entered an apartment building near Pontiac Place and Cauldwell Avenue. They knocked on the door of a 21-year-old victim. The man opened the door and the two people pushed their way into the apartment. They were holding guns and demanded money from seven people inside who had ages ranging from 18 to 67. The two men removed about $300 in cash, iPhones, and a wallet. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

45 Precinct

Wednesday, February 1 at 11:43 p.m. — Cops responded to a 911 call of a vehicle collision. A single overturned 2012 Dodge Charger was on fire at a roundabout at City Island Road and Park Drive after it flipped over. When cops arrived on the scene, they pulled from the car 32-year-old man with trauma and burns to both legs and a woman with very severe burns, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was taken to New York Health + Hospitals /Jacobi where he was in critical condition shortly after the incident. Published reports indicate that at least one of the people in the car may have been an off-duty police officer.

Tuesday, January 24 at 4:30 p.m. — Police got a report about a robbery in front of 88 W. 181st Street. Three people described as Black men who are between 16-years-old and 18-years-old approached a 16-year-old male victim as he entered the building. One of the three took a backpack off his back and all three fled on foot. No injuries were reported.

Friday, January 6 at 5:37 p.m. — Police responded to a 911 call of an assault at 2012 Boston Road. When they got to the location, cops found a woman who was around 45-years-old on the ground with a gunshot wound to the torso and arm. The woman was taken by ambulance to St. Barnabas Hospital, where she died. A male victim went by private means to New York Health + Hospitals /Jacobi.
