More than 5,000 people ran for the wild at the Bronx Zoo as they raced to save at-risk wildlife. The 8th Annual Wildlife Conservation Society Run for the Wild, a 5K run and family fun run/walk was held on Saturday, April 30 at the Bronx Zoo to support WCS’ work in helping to preserve wildlife and exotic environments. Unique to this year, runners and walkers participated on behalf of whatever species most inspired them to help WCS in their cause. More than 40,000 people have participated since Run for the Wild’s 2009 inception. Insert, Young cub Ashley Schneider spent some quality time with a friendly Bengal tiger.
