Deputy Borough President Aurelia Greene, Wildlife Conservation Society officials and P.S. 205 students celebrated the start of Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr.’s annual holiday toy drive benefiting Bronx military families on Thursday, November 10. To commemorate Veterans’ Day weekend and the upcoming holiday season, students donated the first toys of the year. The Bronx Zoo will serve as a collection point for new, unwrapped toys donated by the community now through the end of December. The toys will be distributed by the borough president’s office to local veterans and active duty members of the military and their families. For more information on how to donate, visit www.bronxzoo.com.
