Williamsbridge NAACP Hosts Freedom Gala

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People’s Williamsbridge Branch toasted several distinguished leaders at its 59th annual Freedom Fund Awards Dinner Gala on Friday, October 9 at Eastwood Manor Caterers.

This year’s exemplary honorees included Man of the Year Award recipient Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr.; Public Service Award recipients Senator Jamaal Bailey and Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj; Business Award recipient Roy Abraham; Community Service Award recipients Eleanor Minor and Nneoma Ubozoh; Healthcare Recognition Award recipient Fritz Joseph; Education Award recipient Tyrone Leader and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Phyllis Booth.
