Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. hosted his annual Black History Month celebration on Saturday, February 10 at the Einstein Community Room in Co-op City. This year’s exemplary honorees included Jonathan Hicks Memorial Award recipient, the late Army National Guard private first class Emmanuel Mensah; Tamika Mallory, Women’s March national co-chairwoman; activist and author Shaun King and NYS Division of Human Rights Commissioner Helen Diane Foster.
