The Tata Group announced during their Monday, March 28 ‘Read-A-Loud’ event that it will donate 10,000 new books to children in Morrisania, Claremont, Crotona-Mapes, Longwood, Charlotte Gardens and Belmont, in partnership with the non-profit, First Book and the assemblyman. To commemorate this historic effort, one of Tata Group’s companies, Tata Consultancy Services hosted a ‘Read-A-Loud’ that same day with Urban Scholars Community School pre-kindergarten through fifth graders where each of them received two books to add to their libraries at home.
