42 Precinct

Monday, December 18 — Cops received a report of grand larceny involving a female, described as Black, 5’4”, 150 pounds with medium complexion, at an apartment building at 1690 Bryant Avenue. The individual removed a coat from a 34-year-old male security guard who was working at the location. Later, the 34-year-old recovered his coat inside the building and realized his wallet, which had $70 in cash and two bank cards, was missing. The female fled the building and was last seen wearing a long, black robe, tan pants, tall, brown boots, carrying a camouflage bookbag and initially wearing a black and red baseball hat with a black wig.

43 Precinct

Wednesday, January 10 at 2:20 p.m. — Cops responded to a 911 call of a person shot at 1690 E. 174th Street. Upon arrival, cops observed an unconscious and unresponsive 54-year-old female with a gunshot wound to the head and chest, a 29-year-old female with a gunshot wound to the chest, a 52-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head and 1-year-old female who was not injured. The 54-year-old female was pronounced dead at the scene and EMS transported the remaining three victims to Jacobi Hospital where the 29-year-old was also pronounced dead. The 52-year-old male was listed in critical condition. A firearm was recovered at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Sunday, December 10 at 2:25 a.m. — Cops are investigating a burglary within 1240 Morrison Avenue. An individual gained entry into a storage area within the location and removed two scaffolding motors valued at over $21,000. The individual is described as male, Hispanic and was last seen wearing green boots, a green sweatshirt, and a black jacket.

44 Precinct

Wednesday, January 10 at 9:55 a.m. — Cops responded to a 911 call of a pedestrian struck at the Major Deegan Expressway. Upon arrival, officers observed a 57-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive laying on the roadway with trauma to the head and body. EMS transported the male to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Preliminary investigation revealed the predestrian was attempting to cross the Major Deegan Expressway from east to west, when the 34-year-old tractor trailer driver, travelling northbound on the MDE, was approaching exit #5 and struck the pedestrian. The driver remained on the scene. The investigation is ongoing by the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad.

48 Precinct

Tuesday, January 9 at 9:30 p.m. — Cops responded to a 911 call of an aided male inside of 967 E. 178th Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 31-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive with possible head trauma. EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the 31-year-old deceased. The cause of death is being determined by the medical examiner and the investigation is ongoing.
