The Chippewa Democratic Club toasted several community leaders at its 120th annual Dinner Dance on Thursday, May 17 at Villa Barone Manor.

This year’s exemplary honorees were Maria Caruso, City Island Chamber of Commerce tourism director; Dr. Nella Shapiro, Eastchester Cancer Care oncology specialist; Marylou DiPreta, St. Frances de Chantal School eighth grade writing teacher; Michael McNerney, Country Club Civic Association president; John Cucchiarella, field representative of the Local 1 International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers of the Bronx and Assemblyman Michael Benedetto.
