Saturday, July 22 at 2:30 a.m. — A 29-year-old man was hit in the face with a gun in the back of 340 Alexander Avenue. The individual removed the victim’s wallet, keys, cellphone and some of his cash. The victim sustained bruising to the face and he refused medical attention. The person who hit the man in the face with the gun is described as a black man who is 25-years-old to 30-years-old, and who has a dark complexion and brown eyes. He was seen wearing a dark colored shirt with a Snoopy character on the front, white sneakers and blue jeans.

Friday, August 4 at 10:20 a.m. –A robbery was reported to police. Apparently, an individual followed a 77-year-old man out of a bank branch at 1051 Westchester Avenue. The individual grabbed the man by his neck in front of 1032 Fox Street and brought him to the ground. The two tussled with each other prior to fleeing. The victim refused medical attention. He endured a several scrapes and a bruise above his left eye. The individual is a Hispanic man who is about six feet tall and about 210 pounds.

Wednesday, August 9 at 10:45 a.m.. — Cops responded to a 911 call of a pedestrian hit by a car at 629 E. 229th Street. They found a 37-year-old woman who was lying on the pavement with head trauma. EMS responded and took the woman to Montefiore Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. A preliminary investigation revealed that she was struck by a 2011 Ford van that she thought she had parked and had been driving before stopping. She walked around to the drivers side of the van to reposition something when the vehicle slipped into reverse and she fell out of the van and onto the pavement. She was run over by the front driver’s tire.

Tuesday, August 8 at 10:54 a.m. — Cops received a report about a 28-year-old man at 2552 Cruger Avenue who was shot three times. The victim endured injuries to his chest, buttocks and legs and was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition. The shooter fled the scene. He’s described as a Hispanic man who is about 30-years-old and 40-years-old.
