Senator Jeff Klein held a press conference outside of the Bronx Charter School of the Arts on Tuesday, July 25 calling on AMTRAK and NYC Department of Transportation to replace a hazardous fence outside the school.

The rust, jagged fence attached to a concrete wall separating a dead end block where the school is located from the adjacent AMTRAK train tracks has jeopardized the safety of students since it was damaged during Hurricane Sandy.

Neither agency has taken ownership of the fence since it was damaged.
