Senator Jeff Klein hosted the fifth annual First Responders Appreciation Barbecue at Orchard Beach on Saturday, September 19. Those honored included 45th Precinct Lieutenant Paul Trapani, EMS Station 15 Lieutenant Jason Waszmer, EMS Station 27 EMTs Deborah Greco and Francisco Pinoduarte, EMS Division 2 EMT Edwin Mendez, retired 49th Precinct Detective Victor DiPierro and 43rd Precinct Officer Alejandro Ochoa along with Engine Company 81 and Ladder Company 46. The annual event featured food, drinks, face painting, games and a live musical performance by FDR Drive.
