Assembly members Michael Benedetto and Mark Gjonaj sponsored theit annual senior picnic at the Surf Club in New Rochelle on Monday, August 21. Over 700 seniors from Throggs Neck, Pelham Bay, Morris Park, Pelham Parkway, Mosholu Parkway and Coop City enjoyed an activity filled day and three meals, along with dancing and swimming. While the eclipse was in progress the assembly members along with senators Jeff Klein and Jamaal Bailey and local religious leaders stood up with the seniors and prayed for peace.
Thomas Messina (c), representing Congressman Joseph Crowley, called out Bingo numbers while being aided by Assemblyman Benedetto (r) and Joshua Adams.
