Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj, Senator Jeff Klein and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce hosted the annual Hispanic Heritage Festival on Saturday, September 10 at Mazzei Playground. The event featured back-to-school giveaways by United Northern Mortgage Bankers; live music by Nelida Tirado, Rigo Lambert, EC Salsero, Julian Vasquez el Diamante de la Salsa, SBK, Shayla Hernandez and Taina; children’s activities and an award presentation honoring Bronx Times freelance photographer Miriam Quinones.
